Battersea Police Ball Awards

The annual event sees hundereds of businessmen & women, local dignitaries and philanthropists don stunning evening wear to enjoy a formal meal in the glitzy surroundings of a stunningly decorated purpose built marquee.
Guests are entertained by dancers, acrobats and more before the serious business of raising begins.
A charity auction of locally donated prizes ensues hosted by local celebrities such as George Cole, (The Bill’s Tony Stamp) and with various raffles and other fund raising activities within the arena the Police Ball continues to raise an impressive amount of funds year on year.
Last year the Battersea Crime Prevention Panel's annual Police Ball raised over £56,000 and over 1,500 people had a great night out in aid of a very worthy cause.The Police Ball generates funds for the Crime Prevention Panel which supports:
The Battersea Summer Scheme, which helps disadvantaged young people living in Battersea and Balham to occupy them and to divert them from becoming victims of.
School Crime Prevention initiatives.
Extra protection for the needy, the vulnerable and the infirm.
Employing Outreach workers to work with teenagers on the North Battersea Estates.
